Studio Tools: History, Check, Find, Copy and Paste, Export for

How to use the ParticleFX Studio editor tools and their keys: history and snapshots, the Check tab, find a setting and solo, favourites, copy and paste, Export for your engine, game scenes and Play at click, multi-select, Quick tweaks and timeline keys.

History and snapshots

Every edit you make is listed with a readable name (Size on Sparks, Add Gravity / Wind, Delete layer Smoke), newest first, and you can jump back to any of them. Snapshots keep the whole effect as it is now, so you can compare your edits with it or go back to it later.

Check tab

The Check tab beside Inspector and Agent plays the whole loop and lists what would look wrong in an export, in plain words, with one-click fixes where a safe one exists. It is the same analysis the MCP server runs for AI apps.

Find a setting, solo a layer, filter the layers

Search the Inspector for any setting by name, show one layer on its own while you work on it, and filter a long layers list by name.

Library favourites and More like this

Star the library effects you come back to, and find effects like the one you have open.

Copy and paste modules, values and layers

Copy a module onto another layer or paste its settings into a module of the same kind, and copy whole layers into this effect or another one, with the paths, emitters, images and fonts they need.

Export for your engine

Pick the engine or use at the top of the Export dialog and the format and engine data are set for it in one go: Unity, Godot, GameMaker, Phaser / Pixi, Roblox, Web page, Video, or Custom.

Game scenes, a stand-in character and Play at click

See the effect where it will play: in a game scene, next to a character for scale, fired where you click, as it would be in a game. All of it is preview only and never goes into exports.

Select several layers

Select several layers in the layers panel and change them all at once: each action is one undo step.

Quick tweaks

One-tap changes to the whole effect at the top of Effect settings: Size, Amount, Speed, Colour, Glow and Plays. Each tap is one undo step.

Select and edit many timeline keys

Select keys across layers on the timeline and move, ease, copy, paste or delete them together.
